Now that it’s crystal clear American Top Team teammate Tyron Woodley doesn’t want to tango, Hector Lombard (pictured) is on the hunt for a different opponent.

With a new nickname in tow, Lombard went from “Lightning” to Showeather,” the welterweight has now set his sights on Matt Brown.

“Still waiting for you @IamTheImmortal make it happen @ufc @danawhite,” Lombard posted on Twitter.

Brown currently resides at #5 in the UFC Fighter Rankings for the welterweight division, just one slot above Lombard.

Lombard got off to a rocky start in the UFC going 1-2, but is perfect through two outings since dropping to welterweight.

Fighters on winning streaks don’t customarily call out someone coming off a loss, unless it’s a former champion, but Brown had rattled off seven straight wins, six of which ended via some form of knockout, prior to dropping a unanimous decision to Robbie Lawler in his last outing.

The shootout against Lawler was of the top contender variety, so Brown’s standing in the weight class didn’t take too big of a hit given the significance of the fight.

And that’s why Lombard wants a piece.
