UFC Heavyweight Cain Velasquez

UFC 180 marks 13 months since the last time heavyweight champion Cain Velasquez (pictured) took center stage. Despite his extended hiatus, Velasquez isn’t expected to skip a beat – or in this case, skip giving out a beating.

Velasquez is a significant 4.5-1 odds-on favorite to dispose of Fabricio Werdum on November 15. Werdum, who is no stranger to serving up upset specials (Please see: Fedor Emelianenko), checks in as more than a 3-1 underdog against Velasquez.

Arena Ciudad de Mexico in Mexico City, Mexico hosts the shootout.

Here are the early wagering lines for Velasquez vs. Werdum:

Favorite (-) Underdog (+)

Cain Velasquez -450
Fabricio Werdum +325

Gambling 101:

Bet $450 on Velasquez and he’s victorious, you win $100
Bet $100 on Werdum and he’s victorious, you win $325
