What’s better than having one Pettis fighting on a UFC card? Having two.
The UFC has confirmed bantamweight Sergio Pettis (pictured) will join big brother Anthony Pettis at UFC 181. The younger Pettis meets Matt Hober in the December 6 event inside Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Of course, Anthony will be co-headlining the festivities when he puts his lightweight title on the line against Gilbert Melendez.
Pettis has gone 2-1 since joining the UFC last November. “The Phenom” rebounded from a submission defeat to Alex Caceres with June’s decision win over Yaotzin Meza.
After losing to Pedro Munhoz in his UFC debut, Hober bounced back to take a decision over Aaron Phillips in August.
Here is the card’s current lineup:
Eddie Gordon vs. Josh Samman
Sergio Pettis vs. Matt Hobar
Holly Holm vs. Raquel Pennington
Todd Duffee vs. Anthony Hamilton
Tony Ferguson vs. Abel Trujillo
Travis Browne vs. Brendan Schaub
Gilbert Melendez vs. Anthony Pettis (UFC lightweight champion)
Robbie Lawler vs. Johny Hendricks (UFC welterweight champion)
