When I see a dime piece, do you know what the first thing that pops into my head? That chick must be a damn good fighter.
Actually, it isn’t. But, apparently, that’s what comes to UFC bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey’s (pictured) mind.
Here is Rousey’s logic: An ugly person lacks the proper bobbing and weaving skills because they’ve been socked in the grill too many times. A hot person, on the other hand, is avoiding strikes while laying the lumber and that’s why their face is so pristine.
“They’re the ones that don’t get hit,” Rousey said of the world’s pretty people while appearing as a guest on ‘Jim Rome on Showtime.’ “If you think about it, if someone’s all gnarled up and like, ‘Oh man, that person’s been through some battles,’ it’s like yeah, they suck because they’ve just got hit a bunch of times. If I’m coming out looking fine, then I’m probably the better fighter, not the one that’s all gnarled up. I feel like that’s a really good gauge.”
Makes sense, in a did-that-just-come-out-of-her-mouth kinda way…
Then again, there might be a method behind Rousey’s mindset. Rousey, Cat Zingano and Miesha Tate, the UFC’s top three bantamweights, are extremely easy on the eyes.
Rousey and her cover girl face hopes to return to the octagon against Zingano at UFC 182. No punching in the face, ladies!
