After running the reverse trifecta, it was practically a given that Steven Siler (pictured) would get fired from the UFC.
On Thursday, Siler confirmed his unemployment status.
“I wanna thank @ufc @danawhite @seanshelby for everything, I will be back in the ufc soon im still not done yet,” Silver posted on his verified Twitter account.
Siler, still just 27, owns a 23-13 professional MMA record. He started out his UFC career in December 2011 by winning five of his first six scraps, but it was all downhill from there.
The once-promising featherweight proceeded to drop a lopsided unanimous decision to Dennis Bermudez, get TKO’d by Rony Mariano Bezerra and most recently get outpointed by Noad Lahat in May.
