Following a brief hiatus, it’s once again fight week for the octagon. “UFC 179: Aldo vs. Mendes II” goes down this Saturday night inside Maracanazinho Gymnasium in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

A rematch between reigning featherweight king Jose Aldo and Chad Mendes headlines the festivities. The last time they collided, also in Aldo’s homeland of Brazil, Mendes found himself napping on the canvas after eating a vicious knee.

Mendes is convinced he’s evolved into the better fighter since their initial encounter nearly three years ago.
