UFC Mauricio Shogun Rua

Los Angeles Laker rookie Julius Randle isn’t the only one breaking some part of their leg. On Wednesday, UFC president Dana White announced Jimi Manuwa as fractured his foot and will be forced out of his November 8 scrap against former light heavyweight champion Mauricio “Shogun” Rua.

Shogun will now face Ovince Saint Preux at UFC Fight Night 56.

Both 205-pounders are looking to bounce back from defeats, but Shogun is in desperate need of a W. The 32-year-old has dropped three of his last four bouts, with his lone win during this stretch coming over James Te Huna.

Saint Preux dropped a lopsided unanimous decision to Ryan Bader in his last outing. He had rattled off five straight wins prior to August’s defeat.

Saint Preux was originally slated to co-headline the event against Francimar Barroso. No word on what Barroso’s immediate future holds.

Ginasio Municipal Tancredo Neves in Uberlandia, Minas Gerais, Brazil hosts the festivities.

Fox Sports 1 will broadcast the main card live in America starting at 10:30PM ET/7:30PM PT.
