Dream.6 continues with poor ratings

Sherdog is reporting that the results for Dream’s tape-delayed primetime broadcast of Dream.6 aren’t good. Japanese television research firm, Video Research Ltd., reported that the show brought in a 9.0 rating and a peak of 13.4, which was during the Yoshihiro Akiyama vs. Masanori Tonooka.

K-1 intended to bring back the Pride identity when they replaced its MMA brand of Hero’s with Dream. Unfortunately for K-1, all four Hero’s events scored higher ratings than Dream has.

“I want to brace for New Year’s Eve. I want to carry out an event so that we can strike numbers two and three times as high as this,” Dream event producer Keiichi Sasahara told reporters.

K-1 “Premium Dynamite!!” perennially brings in high ratings, so it’s no surprise that Sasahara wants to move on and put on a good show for their biggest event.
