Cung Le is obviously disappointed with his shocking 3rdRound KO loss to Scott Smith at “Strikeforce: Evolution,” but at least he has 150,000 reasons to feel better as Christmas approaches. That was the amount of chips the budding movie star pocketed for showing up to the HP Pavilion in San Jose, CA on Saturday night.
Le took home nearly three times more cheddar than Smith did. Ironically, Smith was a 3-to-1 underdog entering the middleweight scrap.
Of interesting note, the California State Athletic Commission fined Muhammed “King Mo” Lawal 10% of his purse for his Stone Cold Steve Austin impersonation following his thrashing of Mike Whitehead.
Lawal continued to slam two opened energy drink cans together, spilling the contents all over the mat that still had three more fights to host. No big deal, he should just tell Rockstar to reimburse him as the fine will create more hype for the crack-in-a-can company.
