Longtime UFC.com writer Thomas Gerbasi has released his admitted “highly unofficial” list of top 10 submissions and knockouts of 2014.

There were far too many subs and KOs for me to keep track of – not because there wasn’t an abundance of decisions this past year, but an over-abundance of events – so props to Gerbasi for keeping tabs.

The one thing that did pop out from Gerbasi’s list was Mark Hunt’s walk-off knockout over Roy Nelson only came in at #4. Given the lights out nature of the strike and the fact Nelson has a chin of granite, I would have thought it would have ranked higher.

Dong Hyun Kim’s (pictured) spinning back-elbow on John Hathaway took top KO, and there’s no complaints here.

Charles Oliveira’s slick anaconda choke on Hatsu Hioki was Gerbasi’s top tap of 2014.
