“WEC 45: Cerrone vs. Ratcliff” Medical Suspensions Issued

Earlier today, the Nevada State Athletic Commission released the medical suspensions stemming from Saturday’s “WEC 45: Cerrone vs. Ratcliff” show inside The Pearl at the Palms Resort and Casino. A loss wasn’t the only thing main event fighter Ed Ratcliff left Las Vegas with as he will be sidelined until January 10th for precautionary reasons.

WEC newcomer Chris Horodecki was suspended until June 8th due to fractures of his right orbital bone and sinus which resulted from the lethal whooping Anthony Njokuani laid on him. However, he can return as early as January 19th if he gets cleared by an ENT doctor.

Here is a complete rundown of the IR list, courtesy of MMAJunkie.com:

Ed Ratcliff: Suspended until Jan. 19 with no contact until Jan. 10 for precautionary reasons
Chris Horodecki: Suspended until June 8 due to right orbital and sinus fractures; can return after Jan. 19 if cleared by an ENT doctor
Rani Yahya: Suspended until Jan. 19 with no contact until Jan. 10 for precautionary reasons
Zach Micklewright: Suspended until June 8; can return after Jan. 20 if left elbow x-rayed and cleared by orthopedic doctor
Muhsin Corbbrey: Suspended until Feb. 3 with no contact until Jan. 19 due to cut in right eyebrow
John Hosman: Suspended until June 8 due to possible nasal fracture; can return earlier if cleared by an ENT doctor
Courtney Buck: Suspended until Feb. 3 with no contact until Jan. 19 for precautionary reasons
Kyle Dietz: Suspended until Jan. 19 with no contact until Jan. 10 for precautionary reasons
Jameel Massouh: Suspended until Jan. 19 with no contact until Jan. 10 for precautionary reasons
