In OTHER UFC light heavyweight news… A knee injury has forced Glover Teixeira (pictured) out of his UFC Fight Night 61 scrap against fellow former top contender Rashad Evans.

The heavyweight bout between Frank Mir and Antonio “Bigfoot” Silva, which was originally slated for UFC 184, will now headline the February 22 card due to Teixeira’s injury.

According to the report, Teixeira will require six weeks of physical therapy to get his knee back on track.

It is unknown what the immediate future holds for Evans, who is looking to return from a knee surgery. “Suga” hasn’t been seen since posting a TKO victory over Chael Sonnen in November 2013.

Gigantinho Gymnasium in Porto Alegre, Brazil hosts the festivities.
