Eurosport is reporting that the UFC is set to announce that UFC 93 will be taking place in Dublin, Ireland instead of Las Vegas. January 17th seems to be the likely date and the O2 Arena is the location and the main event could see Rich “Ace” Franklin” against either a returning Mauricio “Shogun” Rua or Chuck Liddell.

UFC 93 was originally scheduled for January, but at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas. It now seems that the UFC wants to continue its push towards global expansion.

If true, UFC 94 will feature the re-match between BJ Penn and Georges St-Pierre for the UFC welterweight title on SuperBowl weekend.

It is unclear as to whether or not the Lyoto Machida vs. Thiago Silva bout will remain on UFC 93 or follow the UFC overseas.

Update: MMAJunkie is reporting that Dan Henderson could get the nod against Rich Franklin in the main event as opposed to the previous report of either Chuck Liddell or Mauricio Rua.
