When the UFC comes calling, the answer better be “Yes” otherwise your phone may never ring again. That’s why veteran Ron Stalling accepted a scrap against Uriah Hall (pictured) on just six days’ notice.
FoxSports.com reported Monday Stalling has agreed to face Hall this Sunday at UFC Fight Night 59 after Hall’s second opponent for the card was forced out due to injury.
It’s not often someone coming off a loss gets recruited into the UFC, but desperate times call for desperate measures. Stallings, who has primarily fought for regional organizations in his 19 professional fights, is looking to bounce back from November’s decision loss to Tim Williams at CFFC 43.
Hall, on the other hand, has managed to right the ship with two straight wins after dropping his first two in the UFC. He was last seen posting a decision victory over Thiago Santos in July.
Hall was originally slated to fight Costas Philippou and then Louis Taylor in the event.
TD Garden in Boston, Massachusetts hosts the show.
