Winner of “The Ultimate Fighter’s” third season, Kendall Grove’s career has been a roller coaster ride with big wins and devastating losses on his Octagon resume. Since having his daughter Khloe in July of 2008, Grove finally has balance in his life and has just re-upped with the UFC.
Grove’s UFC 106 bout against Jake Rosholt was literally a loser leaves town match and Grove used his superior grappling to catch Rosholt in a triangle choke to secure another contract in the UFC.
“I just turned 27 and we’re not getting any younger. I think I had all my fun and all that stuff when I was living in [Las Vegas],” Grove told Sherdog.
There were reports that as Grove started to slack in his training while at Xtreme Couture, that’s where he ran into trouble in the Octagon with back-to-back losses to Patrick Cote and Jorge Rivera.
“When I had my daughter, you kind of grow up. I’m still a kid but you see that it’s just not about you anymore,” Grove continued.
With a new multi-fight contract and a potential bout early next year, Grove is hoping that 2010 is the year of “Da Spyder.”
