As the rumor mill has been suggesting, Urijah Faber (pictured) and Raphael Assuncao will in fact collide when the UFC returns to Brazil on March 21.
The UFC confirmed the bantamweights will headline the card Thursday via Twitter.
Faber is victorious in six of his past seven outings. “The California Kid” will be riding a two-fight winning streak into the tango.
Assuncao is one of the hottest fighters in the division having won seven straight scraps. The Brazilian was most recently seen taking a unanimous decision over Bryan Caraway in October.
Maracanazinho Gymnasium in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil hosts the festivities. Fox Sports 1 is expected to air the main card live in America.
