And then there were 11, as in only 11 bouts that will now take place at Saturday’s UFC 183 event after featherweight Jim Hettes (pictured) was forced to withdraw from his bout against Diego Brandao due to undisclosed medical issues.

Hettes was reportedly getting his hands wrapped in the locker room when he became ill. After being examined by doctors and Nevada State Commission officials, it was determined the 27-year-old couldn’t compete tonight.

“The Kid” has left MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas and transported to a local hospital for precautionary reasons.

The 145-pound affair was slated to appear in the UFC Fight Pass portion of the prelims.

No word on whether Hettes or Brandao will receive their show money.
