On Tuesday, a heavyweight shootout between Stipe Miocic and Mark Hunt was announced as the featured attraction for the UFC’s May 10 event inside Adelaide Entertainment Centre in South Australia.
Hunt is looking to bounced back from November’s TKO defeat to Fabricio Werdum for the vacant interim heavyweight title. “The Super Samoan” owns a mundane 10-9 (1 NC) professional record, but remains one of the division’s most popular fighters for his knack of knocking people out.
Miocic is also trying to right the ship after a hard fought defeat to former champ Junior dos Santos. Many pundits believe Miocic should have been on the other side of December’s controversial unanimous decision verdict.
No word on if UFC Fight Pass, Fox Sports 1, Fox Sports 2 or some combination of the three will broadcast the card live in America.
Here is the show’s current lineup:
Alex Chambers vs. Kailin Curran
Dylan Andrews vs. Bradley Scott
Bec Rawlings vs. Seohee Ham
Jake Matthews vs. James Vick
Anthony Perosh vs. Sean O’Connell
Robert Whittaker vs. Brad Tavares
Stipe Miocic vs. Mark Hunt
