The Las Vegas strip will be the place to be this Memorial Day weekend. Shortly after announcing light heavyweight champion Jon Jones would defend his title against Anthony Johnson at UFC 187, and middleweight champ Chris Weidman would put his strap up for grabs against Vitor Belfort in the card’s co-main event, a slew of significant scraps were added to the May 23 lineup.
First and foremost, a thrilling lightweight shootout with Donald Cerrone (pictured) and unbeaten Khabib Nurmagomedov will take third-to-top billing.
A heavyweight clash between former champion Andrei Arlovski and Travis Browne was also confirmed for the roster. Former flyweight top contenders Joseph Benavidez and John Moraga will also join the party.
MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada will serve as host.
Here is the card’s current agenda:
Joseph Benavidez vs. John Moraga
Andrei Arlovski vs. Travis Browne
Donald Cerrone vs. Khabib Nurmagomedov
Vitor Belfort vs. Chris Weidman (UFC middleweight champion)
Anthony Johnson vs. Jon Jones (UFC light heavyweight champion)
