All of the fighters scheduled to be competing on Friday’s Strikeforce “Payback” event in Denver, Colorado hit the scales on Thursday for the official weigh-ins. The event will feature five preliminary amateur bouts which are a part of Strikeforce’s “Young Guns” circuit, and seven professional bouts that will be on the main card. Tyra Parker and Lumumba Sawyer failed to make their required weights, but both will still be competing. Parker will be forced to pay a portion of her purse to “The Karate Hottie,” Michelle Waterson, but Sawyer is fighting as an amateur and will not have to pay any penalties.
The event will be taking place tonight at the Bloomfield Events Center, and you can catch the main bouts airing live on HDNet at 10PM EST.
