Late Tuesday night, it was announced Kelvin Gastelum (pictured) and Efrain Escudero will serve as opposing coaches on “The Ultimate Fighter: Latin America 2.”
The UFC reported the news on their verified UFC Network Twitter account.
This edition of the reality show features lightweight and welterweight hopefuls from Mexico and other Latin American countries. The cast has yet to be revealed.
The respective tournament victors score six-figure UFC contracts.
Gastelum and Escudero are former TUF winners. Gastelum took the 17th season crown, while Escudero won season 8 back in 2008.
Since they compete in different weight classes, the two will not fight each other when filming wraps. However, because this season focuses on their respective divisions, and more importantly, they are of Mexican descent, it made sense to UFC brass.
TUF Latin America 2 is expected to be made available for streaming on UFC Fight Pass.
