My, what one upset special can do for your betting line. Renan Barao was a whopping 8-1 odds-on favorite when he fell to T.J. Dillshaw at UFC 173.
After that shocking lopsided beatdown, the pendulum has now swung in Dillashaw’s favor. Dillashaw is currently a -265 favorite to go up 2-0 on Barao, who the UFC had touted as the best pound-for-pound fighter in the game until Dillashaw did his thing to him.
Barao enters UFC 186 as slightly more than a 2-1 underdog for the rematch.
Strangely, Dillashaw was only a 1.5-1 favorite when the sequel was originally set for UFC 177. Barao was +120 before he had to withdraw after his body went into shock during the weight cut.
UFC 186 goes down April 25 in Montreal, Canada.
