Well, the worst kept secret in the UFC was just confirmed Monday night when it was announced Filipino-American Mark Munoz (pictured) will perform when the octagon makes its debut in the Philippines.
Munoz will meet Luke Barnatt in the May 16 event, which goes down inside SM Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay, Philippines.
Having lost three straight scraps, which were all first round finishes, the likable Munoz is facing a must-win situation. “The Filipino Wrecking Machine” owns a 13-6 professional record, but hasn’t posted a victory since a decision over Tim Boetsch in July 2013.
Barnatt could also be fighting for his UFC. He’ll be riding a two-fight losing streak into the tango, with both defeats being of the split decision variety.
It is unknown if UFC Fight Pass, Fox Sports 1, Fox Sports 2 or some combination of the three will make the show available for live viewing in America.
