If you haven’t found out by now, whatever UFC bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey (pictured) wants, Ronda Rousey gets.
Rousey said she wanted her next title defense to come against Bethe Correia in hostile territory in Brazil, and that’s exactly what’s going to happen.
On Friday, it was announced Rousey will headline UFC 190 against Carreia. The August 1 event is expected to go down inside HSBC Arena in Rio de Janeiro.
Rousey will be busy the next few months with “Furious 7” and “The Entourage Movie” set to premiere. She is set to embark on her first starring role in “Mile 22” shortly.
Assuming filming for that movie wraps by early June, she’ll have roughly two months to prep for Carreia.
Rousey is three weeks removed from her record-setting submission victory over Cat Zingano at UFC 184. With an unblemished 11-0 record, she is arguably the most unbeatable fighter in MMA.
Carreia is also undefeated, going unbeaten through her first nine scraps. The chatty Brazilian has been clamoring for a tango with Rousey for quite some time. Be careful what you wish for…
No other bouts have been reported for the lineup.
