UFC bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey (pictured) has a severe addiction. After getting her first taste of the professional wrestling world at Wrestlemania 31, Rousey claims she is itching for more.
“The first I ever wrestled was at Wrestlemania with an attendance record at Levi’s Stadium. I had a problem when I left,” Rousey said while appearing on Rowdy Roddy Piper’s podcast. “There’s no way I can’t not go back in there again. There’s no way. After experiencing that, there’s nothing like it.
“The second I left I was already thinking, ‘How can I possibly go back?’ I didn’t even change [clothes] yet. I hadn’t even gotten out of my outfit yet.”
Rousey surprised everyone when she hopped the barricade to team up with The Rock in order to take out Stephanie McMahon and Tripple H at last month’s record-setting event. Pro wrestling fanatics thought it was the perfect prelude for a rematch at next year’s Wrestlemania.
However, Rousey’s agent recently killed that chatter by stating there are is no deal currently in place for his client to return to the WWE.
Given Rousey’s violent nature and love for acting, it seems as though a professional wrestling might just be the perfect fit for the “Rowdy” one. Though, I’m not quite sure how UFC president Dana White would feel about that.
Rousey returns to her day job August 1 when she puts her belt on the line against Bethe Correia at UFC 190.
