“Countdown to UFC 186” debuted Sunday on Fox Sports 1 to help promote Saturday’s pay-per-view broadcast, and believe me when I tell you, the struggling card needs as much hoopla help as it can get.
Injury, the removal of Quinton “Rampage” Jackson from the co-main event and an overall lack of significant fights and star power, this event has been doomed for quite some time.
The bantamweight rematch between champion TJ Dillashaw and Renan Barao was supposed to headline the gig, but a cracked rib forced Dillashaw to withdraw.
So reigning flyweight champion Demetrious Johnson (pictured) and challenger Kyoji Horiguchi get the bump to top billing. Remember the last time Johnson headlined a PPV in Canada (Please see: UFC 174 disaster)?
Nonetheless, here we go again. Get your $59.95 ready!
