Daniel Cormier (pictured) may have been trounced by now-former light heavyweight champion Jon Jones at UFC 182, but Cormier might get the last laugh (for now) on his archenemy.

Now that Jones has been stripped of his title following Monday’s hit-and-run felony arrest, Cormier and Anthony Johnson will battle for the vacant belt at UFC 187. According to the Gambling Gods, Cormier should leave Las Vegas with the ever-elusive gold.

Cormier is currently a slight 1.5-1 odds-on favorite to capture the crown. Johnson, meanwhile, comes in close behind at +120.

Jones’ future is foggy, at best. He was issued an indefinite suspension by the UFC following his latest hiccup.

UFC 187 takes place May 23 inside MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.
