Following UFC 187, UFC president Dana White awarded Chris Weidman (pictured), Daniel Cormier, Andrei Arlovski and Travis Browne each an additional $50,000 for their special performances on Saturday.
As promised, Weidman made quick work of Vitor Belfort in the co-main event to retain his middleweight title. His first round TKO victory was good enough for one “Performance of the Night” check.
Cormier bounced back from an early knock down to beat Anthony Johnson to capture the vacant light heavyweight title. Cormier scored the other POTN bonus.
“Fight of the Night” honors was an absolute no-brainer. Arlovski turned back the hands of time to unleash a beating on Browne, but not before Browne nearly rallied to pull off a ridiculous comeback. Unfortunately for “Hapa,” Arlovski remained calm and continued his violent assault after a brief knock down.
UFC 187 took place inside MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.
