On Monday, it was announced a middleweight bout between Michael Bisping (pictured) and Thales Leites will headline the UFC’s July 18 card inside SSE Hydro in Glasgow, Scotland.
In addition, lightweights Ross Pearson and Evan Dunham will serve as the co-featured attraction.
Bisping is coming off last month’s unanimous decision victory over C.B. Dollaway. The veteran has alternated between wins and losses over his last nine outings. “The Count” hasn’t posted consecutive victories since December 2011, but who’s counting.
Leites has quietly rattled off eight straight wins, with his last five coming under the UFC’s watch. The 33-year-old most recently submitted Tim Boetsch in January.
Pearson rebounded nicely from a TKO defeat to Al Iaquinta by putting Sam Stout to sleep in April. Dunham, meanwhile, snapped a three-fight losing skid by collecting a much needed win over Rodrigo Damm in January.
UFC Fight Pass and Fox Sports 1 are expected to offer the event for live viewing in America.
Here is the show’s updated lineup:
Ilir Latifi vs. Hans Stringer
Joanne Calderwood vs. Bec Rawlings
Joseph Duffy vs. Ivan Jorge
Leonardo Mafra vs. Stevie Ray
Leon Edwards vs. Pawel Pawlak
Paul Redmond vs. Robert Whiteford
