“UFC 188: Velasquez vs. Werdum” went down Saturday night inside Arena Ciudad de Mexico in Mexico City, Mexico. 

Reigning heavyweight champion Cain Velasquez ended his 20 month hiatus due to shoulder surgery to face interim champ Fabricio Werdum in tonight’s featured attraction. The long-awaited lightweight shootout between former Gilbert Melendez and Eddie Alvarez served as the co-main event.
