The final ratings numbers  for EliteXC’s third CBS show are in, and network brass is extremely happy. “Heat” took place this past weekend at the Bank Atlantic Center in Sunrise, Florida, and was headlined by EliteXC fan favorites Gina Carano and Kevin “Kimbo Slice” Ferguson. The event came in first in all the key demographics, drawing 4.56 million viewers and earning a 2.7 rating. EliteXC bounced back nicely with a 59% increase in their ratings from their disappointing “Unfinished Business” show in July.

In the key Male 18-34 and 18-49 year old demographics, “Heat” came in first with a 2.7 rating. It also took first place in the Adults (Men and Women) 18-34 category with a 2.0 rating. In the Adults 18-49 category, it tied with ABC’s broadcast of college football with a 2.0 rating.

Although these ratings numbers are great news for EliteXC, they are currently in major spin control today, as Seth Petruzelli stated on a Orlando radio show yesterday that EliteXC promoters, including Vice President Jared Shaw, offered the last-minute replacement an additional bonus if he kept the fight standing against Kimbo. EliteXC has vehemently denied these allegations.
