UFC Robbie Lawler

OK, Conor McGregor has received more than enough pub heading into UFC 189. It’s time to focus on tonight’s co-main attraction.

For the first time since capturing the welterweight title in December, champion Robbie Lawler (pictured) puts his strap up for grabs. Unfortunately for “Ruthless,” the pre-fight prospects of him retaining the hardware tonight against Rory MacDonald don’t look that great.

MacDonald is pegged as a -170 odds-on favorite to avenge his 2013 split decision defeat to Lawler and claim the throne. Lawler, meanwhile, checks in close behind as a +140 underdog.

It’s not like Lawler cares or anything. He’s probably the most laid back fighter in the history of MMA.

UFC 189 goes down tonight inside MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas. Oh, yeah. McGregor meets Chad Mendes for the vacant interim featherweight belt in the main event.
