Well, it appears the trilogy that nearly everyone already knows the outcome of is halfway to completion. Miesha Tate (pictured) did her part to face reigning UFC bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey for a third time by beating Jessica Eye on Saturday.
Tate was a solid favorite entering the scrap, but things weren’t looking good early as she was getting lit up on the feet. Tate managed to swing the momentum when she unexpectedly dropped Eye towards the end of the first round.
The knock down won Tate the round, and she pretty much cruised from there. Tate took home a lopsided (30-27, 30-27, 30-27) unanimous decision win to set up another tango with Rousey (assuming Rousey retains her title against Bethe Correia at UFC 190, of course.
Tate has already been submitted twice by Rousey.
UFC on FOX 16 took place Saturday inside United Center in Chicago, Illinois.
