If Las Vegas wasn’t the place to be UFC 194 weekend before, then the UFC is doing its best to make it that way now. On Wednesday, the promotion announced “The Ultimate Fighter 22 Finale” will go down Friday, December 11, one day before MGM Grand Garden Arena hosts UFC 194.
No venue was confirmed for TUF 22 Finale.
Two scraps were reported for Friday’s show. Lightweight Joe Lauzon (pictured) will battle Evan Dunham, while welterweights Ryan LaFlare and Mike Pierce will also tango.
Lauzon has won three of his past four contests. “J-Lau” easily disposed of Japanese veteran Takanori Gomi with a first round TKO last month.
Dunham has managed to find his groove again after dropping three straight by hanging consecutive unanimous decision victories over Rodrigo Damm, then Ross Pearson in July.
Additional matchups, including the card’s featured attraction, will be revealed in the coming months.
Fox Sports 1 is expected to air the main card live.
