UFC bantamweight Alexis Davis (pictured) is about to pack on plenty of pounds this Holiday season. The 30-year-old announced Tuesday via Instagram that she is pregnant.
“Big news to announce today a slight delay in my return to the octagon! I planned on spending as much time back home as possible to help with my niece anyways,” Daivs captioned with a picture of an ultrasound. “But we are over joyed by this news and should be expecting our new arrival early 2016!!”
Davis is coming off April’s submission victory over Sarah Kaufman. Assuming she didn’t fight pregnant, her baby has probably been baking for the last three-four months. In addition, most people don’t announce their pregnancy until the completion of the first trimester.
Therefore, Davis’ new bundle of joy should arrive as early as February. That would give Davis, currently the UFC’s #3 bantamweight, eight months to meet her goal and return to action by the end of 2016.
