Robbie Lawler (pictured) vs. Carlos Condit: Take Two. After a thumb injury forced welterweight champion Lawler to postpone his UFC 193 matchup against Condit, the shootout has now been shifted to UFC 195.
Fox Sports 1 reported the news late Thursday night.
Condit has dropped three of his last five, but just TKO’d Thiago Alves in May to help right the ship, and apparently earn next dibs status.
Lawler, meanwhile, has rattled off four consecutive victories, including this month’s instant classic TKO over Rory MacDonald at UFC 189. The W marked Lawler’s first title defense.
The January 2 event will once again feature a pair of title tilts. Reigning UFC bantamweight queen Ronda Rousey was originally scheduled to fight Holly Holm in the show, but was moved to UFC 193 after Lawler was forced to withdraw.
Strawweight champion Joanna Jedrzejczyk defends her throne against Claudia Gadelha in the co-main attraction.
MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada hosts the gig.
