Joanna Jedrzejczyk (pictured) and Ronda Rousey are once again reunited, and it feels so good. During Friday’s “Go Big” press conference in Las Vegas, UFC president Dana White announced a hand injury will in fact force Claudia Gadelha out of her UFC 195 scrap against Jedrzejczyk.
Jedrzejczyk will now defend her strawweight belt against Valerie Letourneau, but at UFC 193 on November 14.
Jedrzejczyk will once again open for Rousey, as they were originally paired together at UFC 195 until a thumb injury forced welterweight champion Robbie Lawler to postpone his title tilt against Carlos Condit to January 2
Get it? Got it? Good!
Jedrzejczyk owns a perfect 10-0 professional record and is coming off her first successful title defense in July’s TKO victory over Jessica Penne. The 28-year-old is quickly making a name for herself on the UFC scene.
Even Rousey admitted she was “nervous” meeting Jedrzejczyk for the first time.
Letourneau will be riding a four-fight winning streak into the tango. She was last seen taking a decision over Maryna Moroz in August.
No word on how long Gadelha will be riding the pine.
UFC 193 goes down inside Etihad Stadium in Melbourne, Australia.
