Floyd Mayweather may have claimed to not know who reigning UFC bantamweight queen Ronda Rousey was – he certainly does now – but that’s OK because Beyonce knows who Rousey is.
During Saturday night’s concert in Toronto, Beyonce used the audio clip of Rousey’s now-famous “Do Nothing Bitch” speech before performing her song, “Diva.”
Rousey’s voice, which was taken from the “UFC 190 Embedded” episode to promote her August 1 scrap against Bethe Correia, is heard throughout the stadium as the words flashed one-by-one on the stage’s massive monitor.
“Do Nothing Bitch” caught on so quickly that Rousey reportedly filed a petition to trademark the catchphrase. She also printed t-shirts with the mantra hoping to sell 1,000 in a 14 days. Darren Rovell of ESPN reported Rousey shattered that goal by slinging 56,000 of the “Do Nothing Bitch” shirts at $25 a pop.
Beyonce is one of the planet’s biggest superstars – male or female. So having Bey reference Rousey is pretty cray.
