UFC Lightweight champion BJ Penn has just announced that he will make his Octagon return when the UFC makes its debut in Abu Dhabi for UFC 112 on April 10th. Penn made the announcement just moments ago via his official website, BJPenn.com.
Penn did not mention who UFC brass has assigned as his next 155-pound victim, however did state they tried to get on the UFC 111 card on the main land, but the Jersey Shore will already be playing host to the interim heavyweight title fight between Frank Mir and Shane Carwin, as well as the welterweight title scrap between champ Georges St-Pierre and Dan Hardy.
The Hawaiian steamrolled the relentless Diego Sanchez in his last outing at UFC 107 in December. Penn once again dazzled the mixed martial arts world with his disgusting skills en route to earning the TKO victory. It was his fifth straight in the lightweight division – with the last three being title defenses.
Although his lopsided war with Diego went to the 5thRound, Penn received little damage, if any, and is ready to defend his title ASAP.
