The UFC’s video department sure stepped up their game with their new “Revolution” promo for UFC 193.
Instead of the cookie cutter shots of the show’s main attractions in action, they give fans a look at how reigning UFC bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey (pictured) and challenger Holly Holm got started in combat sports.
Rousey’s first shot comes as she’s walking past a judo dojo with her mother at the age of 11. It progresses until she’s in her teens, when her real-life younger sister portrays her in the clip. Rousey is seen beating up boys at the part, getting in trouble in the principal’s office and taking the stand at the Olympics.
Holm, meanwhile, is playing around with a punching bag at 16. The footage insinuates that she was given a tough time by men at her gym with cold looks.
An abbreviated version of this video was released by Ellen DeGeneres last week. Rousey was a guest on DeGeneres’ show last month.
The two will collide November 14 inside Etihad Stadium in Melbourne, Australia.
