Not as though you had a shot anyway, but reigning UFC bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey (pictured) is officially off the market.
It had been rumored for months that Rousey and UFC heavyweight and fellow Glendale Fighting Club teammate Travis Browne were an item, and on Monday’s edition of “The MMA Hour,” Browne confirmed the chatter.
However, this ain’t high school and there ain’t no boyfriend-girlfriend labels.
“Dating is for children. Dating is for kids,” Browne stated. “Over the summer, through all the s***t that I had to shuffle through, that I had to sift through, Ronda and I started talking throughout the summer, and I’ll say now that we are together.
“She’s my woman, and I’m her man. There’s no boyfriend-girlfriend stuff. There’s no dating. We’re together.”
So I’ll just assume Browne never asked Rousey if she wanted to “go steady?”
The “s**t” that Browne had to sift through were the domestic violence accusations his ex-wife made against him in July with some graphic Instagram pictures. The UFC temporarily suspended Browne and hired a former 25-year FBI veteran to spearhead the investigation.
After extensive research produced “inconclusive evidence,” the UFC reinstated Browne in August.
Browne had been radio silent since the suspension, but his camp had cried innocence on his behalf from the jump.
Rousey has yet to publicly say that Browne is “her man.”
Browne marks the second known UFC heavyweight that has dated Rousey. She was with Brendan Schaub a couple of years ago.
Browne, who is currently the UFC’s #5 heavyweight, is slated to meet Matt Mitrione January 18 at UFC Fight Night 81. Rousey, meanwhile, defends her throne November 14 against Holly Holm at UFC 193.
