As expected, Edson Barboza (pictured) has agreed to replace injured Khabib Nurmagomedov to meet Tony Ferguson at “The Ultimate Fighter 22 Finale.”

The new matchup is expected to co-headline the December 11 event in Las Vegas.

Ferguson is one of the hottest fighters in the UFC’s deepest division having rattled off seven straight victories. “El Cucuy” is fresh off July’s unanimous decision win over Josh Thomson.

Barboza is victorious in three of his past four outings. The Brazilian most recently posted a unanimous decision win over Paul Felder in July.

A featherweight shootout between former top contenders Frankie Edgar and Chad Mendes headlines the festivities.

No word on how long Nurmagomedov’s injured rib will keep him on the pine.

Here is the card’s updated lineup:

Ryan LaFlare vs. Mike Pierce

Gabriel Gonzaga vs. Konstantin Erokhin

Joe Lauzon vs. Evan Dunham

Tony Ferguson vs. Edson Barboza

Frankie Edgar vs. Chad Mendes
