While some of the MMA world has jumped off the Ronda Rousey bandwagon following Saturday’s shocking knockout loss to Holly Holm at UFC 193, it appears boxing great Floyd Mayweather (pictured) is willing to bury the hatchet with his longtime rival.

After all the fire Rousey has spit in Mayweather’s direction over the past couple years, this would have been the perfect time for Mayweather to pile on. However, Mayweather has decided to take the high road.

Mayweather isn’t pleased with how harsh the Internet has been with their countless memes and GIFs of Rousey getting put to sleep.

“I don’t think it’s cool how everyone is trolling her on social media,” Mayweather told Fight Hype. “Certain things you have to learn. People will love you on Friday and then Sunday morning, it’s nothing but negative comments and people making jokes and people making fun about you, which I don’t think is cool. I’ve never been on the other side, so I don’t know how it feels. I’m pretty sure she’s a very, very strong person, but we still have to take into consideration that she has feelings.

“I think that everything is just a learning experience. In due time, she’ll be able to bounce back and make some noise again in mixed martial arts.”

Interestingly, Mayweather’s on-again/off-again/perhaps on-again BFF 50 Cent trolled Rousey Monday and claimed “Money” was the one who ordered the trolling:

LMAO FLOYD TOLD ME TO POST THIS 😆, he want me to do the dirty work.😂 #EFFENVODKA #FRIGO #SMSAUDIO

Not true, claims Mayweather.

“That’s not true at all,” Mayweather stated. “I haven’t really spoke to anyone about the Ronda Rousey situation, just to set the record straight. I don’t have anything against MMA fighters. It’s just like boxing; you win some, you lose some. A true champion can take a loss and bounce back.”

Is Mayweather being genuine? Did he actually have 50 post that on his Instagram?

Who knows?

At least publicly, Mayweather has taken the classy route in his beef with Rousey. Unlike Miesha Tate, Cris “Cyborg” Justino, Bethe Correia, Donald Trump, Lady Gaga and all you other trolls.
