Michael Bisping (pictured) may have wanted to welcome former UFC middleweight king Anderson Silva back from his steroid suspension, but you don’t always get what you wish for in this world, particularly in the UFC.
On Tuesday, it was announced Bisping will battle Gegard Mousasi when the UFC returns to London, England on February 27.
Bisping will be riding a two-fight winning streak into the tango. “The Count” posted a unanimous decision win over C.B. Dollaway in April before eking out a split decision against Thales Leites in July.
Mousasi, meanwhile, is looking to bounce back from September’s stunning upset loss to Uriah Hall. “The Dreamcatcher” has won four of his past five bouts.
In addition, the UFC reported Makwan Amirkhani will face Mike Wilkinson in the event, while Norman Parke takes on Rustam Khabilov in a lightweight showdown.
Fox Sports 1 will likely air the main card live in America. No word on which London venue will host the festivities.
