Kelvin Gastelum (pictured) will waste not time in trying to bounce back from last month’s shocking upset loss to Neil Magny. On Monday, it was announced the welterweight will meet Kyle Noke at UFC 195.
The split decision defeat marked just the second blemish on Gastelum’s record through 13 outings. “The Ultimate Fighter 17” winner’s only other loss came in a pivotal scrap against Tyron Woodley.
Noke will be riding a two-fight winning streak into the tango. “KO” followed up May’s decision over Jonavin Webb with last month’s TKO against Peter Sobotta.
The January 2 event takes place inside MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada. A welterweight title tilt between champion Robbie Lawler and Carlos Condit headlines the festivities.
Here is the card’s updated lineup:
Edgar Garcia vs. Sheldon Westcott
Erik Koch vs. Drew Dober
Michael McDonald vs. Masanori Kanehara
Kelvin Gastelum vs. Kyle Noke
Lorenz Larkin vs. Albert Tumenov
Dustin Poirier vs. Joseph Duffy
Andrei Arlovski vs. Stipe Miocic
