After last month’s lopsided loss to UFC lightweight champion Rafael dos Anjos, Donald Cerrone (pictured) takes his quest for the ever elusive title to the welterweight division.
Cerrone will meet Tim Means at UFC Fight Night 82. The welterweight affair headlines the February 21 fight card.
Cerrone was white hot entering his rematch with dos Anjos having rattled off eight straight wins. Unfortunately for “Cowboy,” he once again shot blanks in a championship affair. Including his time in the WEC, Cerrone is now 0-4 when the hardware is on the line.
Means, meanwhile, rebounded nicely from July’s submission loss to Matt Brown with December’s TKO over John Howard. “The Dirty Bird” is victorious in five of his past six outings.
Fox Sports 1 will likely broadcast the main card live.
Consol Energy Center in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania serves as host.
