Shortly after the conclusion of Wednesday’s UFC 197 press conference, it was announced a lightweight scrap between Diego Sanchez (pictured) and Jim Miller will appear in the show’s prelims.
The bout will headline the UFC Fight Pass portion of the March 5 festivities, which goes down inside MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Sanchez has dropped four of his past six fight, most recently losing a unanimous decision to Ricardo Lamas.
Miller has also fallen on some hard time by coming up short in three of his last four outings. He’ll be looking to rebound from December’s submission loss to Michael Chiesa.
A pair of title tilts will headline the gig. Lightweight champion Rafael Dos Anjos puts his belt on the line against Conor McGregor in the show’s featured attraction. Holly Holm defends her crown against Miesha Tate in the co-main event.
Here is the card’s current roster:
Diego Sanchez vs. Jim Miller
