Sage Northcutt Now Fights Bryan Barberena At UFC on FOX 18

On Friday, it was announced an undisclosed injury has forced Andrew Holbrook out of his January 30 tango against Sage Northcutt (pictured). Bryan Barberena has agreed to serve as a last-second substitute to face the UFC’s golden boy.

Northcutt owns a perfect 7-0 professional record. “Super” most recently submitted Cody Pfister in December.

This marks the 19-year-old’s UFC welterweight debut.

Barberena has split his first two bouts in the UFC. The MMA Lab product will be looking to bounce back from April’s unanimous decision defeat to Chad Laprise. “Bam Bam” TKO’d Joe Ellenberger in his UFC premiere.

Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey hosts the festivities. FOX broadcasts the main card live.
