UFC Anthony Johnson

Ryan Bader made a big mistake Saturday at UFC on FOX 18. Some might argue that error was simply stepping into the cage against Anthony Johnson (pictured) in the first place, but really it was diving across the cage for a telegraphed takedown attempt in the opening seconds.

Johnson easily thwarted the shot, and it was the beginning of the end from there. After fending off a hail Mary kimura attempt, Johnson jumped on his back and starting laying the lumber with several bombs to the dome.

Bader was face planted and unconscious by the time the referee stepped in to stop the mauling, which was just 86 seconds into the tango.

After the easy win, which snapped Bader’s five fight win streak, Johnson proclaimed he’s ready to meet the victor of the rematch between light heavyweight champion Daniel Cormier and Jon Jones.

UFC on FOX 18 took place inside Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey.
