Surprise, surprise. UFC President Dana White is continuing his bashing of EliteXC following their investigation of affecting the outcome of the Kimbo Slice vs. Seth Petruzelli fight. The Los Angeles Times recently got to speak to White about this Saturday’s UFC 89: Bisping vs. Leben card, but he quickly changed the subject to EliteXC’s recent troubles that stem back to EliteXC: Heat.
EliteXC is currently under investigation for possibly having an effect on the outcome after Seth Petruzelli told an Orlando radio station that he was told that he would receive more money if he kept the fight standing against Kimbo Slice.
Dana White was quick to get his two cents in when he told the media, “I think you’re going to see him [Kimbo Slice] fighting at barbecues again,” while promoting a book in New York last week.
Now he’s continuing his assault against his competitor, telling Lance Pugmire of the Los Angeles Times, “This is illegal. These guys should go to jail for that.”
White went on to say, “If this happened in Nevada, or if it happened with me, the FBI would be investigating it. If this thing does not get investigated properly, it’s the biggest slap in the face to sports.”
These comments will put added pressure on the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation to handle the investigation properly.
